Ergonomics Training >>> How to Effectively Setup Your Computer Workstation
This ergonomics training class covers the material necessary to
understand how to effectively setup a computer workstation, and will include discussion
and demonstration of all major items of concern, including:
biomechanics of the seated worker and chair
design,
worksurface height,
the computer's central processing unit,
the screen, flicker, and glare,
overhead and task lighting, the keyboard and
mouse,
eyestrain, wearing glasses, footrests, and
radiation.
The class can also include an optional
practicum to give students who completed the above class the opportunity
to apply the concepts learned at their own workstation while the instructor facilitates
the session.
This allows each student the opportunity to discuss
and resolve any individual questions he/she may have regarding his/her own setup. This
is highly recommended.
